Sprang, Language and Techniques

An ancient technique (almost 3500 yrs), Sprang is a net type fabric formed solely from parallel warp strands stretched between two supports. Believed to be the forerunner of bobbin lace, it is described with detailed instructions using a wide range of materials. This new edition includes a gallery of pictures from the 1974 "Fiber Allusions" show.
