The Needlepoint Joint is located on Historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden, Utah.
Our address is
241 25th Street, Ogden, UT. A bit about our street: Ogden’s 25th Street runs east from the (original) Union Station train station that was opened during the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in 1869. The current Union Station was rebuilt after fire in 1924 and is a picturesque building with historic museums that anchor 25th Street. The street was once known as a rambunctious area of prostitution, bootlegging, gambling, underground tunnels and other rowdy activities. Today, 25th Street is bustling with restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, gift shops, clothing boutiques, and our favorite knitting, needlework and fiber arts shop—the Needlepoint Joint!
Visiting in person: We recommend a visit to the shop in person. You just want to feel the fibers in person and get some of the inside scoop on patterns, fibers and techniques. The shop is easily accessible by car or public transportation. We are on an interesting street where you can dine, snack and shop before or after your visit to our store.
For drivers:
From Idaho and points north, take I-15 southbound. Exit 343 and turn left on Wilson Lane. Turn right on Wall Avenue to drive south to 25th Street. Turn east and drive a block and a half to the shop.
From Salt Lake City and points south, take I-15 northbound. Exit 341 and turn right onto UT 79/31st Street. Turn left on Wall Avenue and drive north to 25th Street. Turn east and drive a block and a half to the shop.
Public Transportation is a great way to visit our shop and 25th street. You can knit or stitch on the train while looking out the windows at the scenic Wasatch mountains.
Take FrontRunner (from as far south as Provo) to the Ogden Intermodal Transportation Hub. From there you are a 10-20 minute walk from the Needlepoint Joint. Walk east to Wall Avenue, then walk south to 25th Street. Walk a block and a half east from the Union Station to the shop.
Alternatively, transfer to the #603 bus that is waiting when you exit the FrontRunner and take it to the 26th street and Grant Ave stop. You are then 1.5 blocks from the shop.
