Patterns include vegetable, fruit, and garden critter tatting patterns written for shuttle tatters (needle tatters can complete, but you have to understand the techniques being used). All patterns contain written instructions, color-coded diagrams and color photographs. Tutorials show how to do lock joins, slope and roll joins, Catherine Wheel joins, alligator joins, beads on picots and beads on core thread, as well as single shuttle split rings (open ring method).

Vegetables include carrots, 3D ear of corn, Christmas pickle, eggplant, okra, onion, pea pods, pumpkins, crookneck summer squash, cherry tomatoes, and a pear tomato. Fruits include apple, cantaloupe, cherries, banana, freestone peach, pear, raspberry, and watermelon. Garden critters are butterflies, dragonflies, inchworms, a snail, and snakes.
